Mo Coffee’s Art Cafe Promo: How to Get FREE ART (well, sort of)

I want to see where all my little artworks get to once they leave my shop. So, if you buy something (you knew there’d be a catch), take a photo of you with the artwork. Then either a) post it on your blog and send me the link or b) send me the photo so I can post it,  and I’LL GIVE YOU $5 WORTH OF CREDIT AT THE ART CAFE.

ALSO, if you refer someone to my shop and they buy something (be sure they mention your name and email address at time of purchase), I’LL GIVE YOU $5 WORTH OF CREDIT AT THE ART CAFE.

So- let’s say, hypothetically, that you bought a cup from me. You could take a picture of yourself enjoying your morning coffee in it, post it on your blog, and tell your readers about Mo Coffee’s Art Cafe (don’t forget to send me the link). Then, if say, three readers bought cups as well (mentioning your name), you would earn $20 worth of store credit, which you could use to buy something else! That’s pretty cool, right?

It’s a basic pyramid scheme, people…

…but it’s for a good cause. Don’t forget that a whopping 50% of the proceeds are going to Compassion International! (We are hoping, ultimately, that the Art Cafe would make enough monthly to support a child. Until then we will use the proceeds to give contributions to special needs projects, like the Global Food Crisis Fund. Find out more from their web site here).

THE FINE PRINT:
1. I’ll run this promo as long as I can afford to, but I reserve the right to cancel it at any time.
2. Store credit is only good for a limited time (6 months from when it is issued- which is pretty good for a limited time).
3. Store credit cannot be used to pay shipping costs (aww, bummer).
4. I’m sure there are about 100 ways to cheat the system.I can think of two ways off the top of my head.  Please, play nice. Remember that I’m trying to help other people here. If I suspect a lot of corruption I’ll cancel the promo.

The Art Cafe’s Mission:

Mo-Coffee’s Art Cafe is my online store where you can buy my pottery and prints (and whatever else I happen to be making). Lainey is helping me run the store and may put some of her own things in from time to time. You can find it at:

MoCoffee.etsy.com

We have two basic goals for the shop:

1) To encourage everyone to buy and USE handmade objects. In our technology-crazed, mass-production, planned-obsolescence culture, I can’t tell you how much simply having things in your day-to-day life that are actually CRAFTED by another HUMAN BEING can make a difference in your outlook and general well-being. You don’t have to buy things from me (I know my aesthetic is a little funky and not for everyone), but please, consider adding someone’s craft to your life.

2) To help someone who really needs it. Basically, we’re hoping to “pay it forward.” To this end Lainey and I have decided to donate 1/2 of the profits from Mo Coffee’s Art Cafe to Compassion International.
