That’s right. She’s literally throwing herself at men. She took out adds in Craigslist asking for men who would be willing met her in bars so she could throw herself at them. The results are stunning! But don’t take her too lightly. Check out her “Locations” series or her video “Hugs.” See her web site here.
To be honest, I know very little about Lilly. But I have to say I am impressed. Her work is at once daring, direct, honest, disarmingly clumsy, deceptively beautiful, and HILARIOUS. It’s a wonderful look at how we as individuals try, and generally fail, to connect with each other.
She has show coming up at Thomas Robertello Gallery in Chicago from March 14 – April 19. Opening Reception: Friday March 14, 6 – 9 pm. If you are in the area, you might want to check it out.
