I’m the Haiku Buckaroo!

I am honored (seriously). I will do my best to uphold the standards of this noble title. My thanks to Leslie at My Mommy’s Place for running this annual contest, and for Jami from not THAT different, the previous Haiku Buckaroo, for bestowing this honor on me.
There were lots of great haiku out there. Special props to my better half, Lainey at Blog in My Eye, who received an Honorable Mention. My haiku had the merit of being odd and slightly clever, but hers had the greater merit of being more poetically sound.
